Forming Process of Industrial Aluminum Profile

The processing and forming methods of industrial aluminum profiles are usually extrusion and rolling.

Extrusion Method

The extrusion method involves making a die according to the section data and size of the profile, then using an extruder to extrude the round cast bar — heated to the critical point — from the die. For example, the 6063 aluminum alloy profile undergoes an air-cooled quenching process and artificial aging treatment after extrusion to complete heat treatment strengthening. Different aluminum alloy profiles have different heat treatment methods.

Rolling Method

The rolling method is only used when large quantities of medium and small-sized bars and profiles with simple section shapes are needed, and the requirements for size and surface quality are not very high.

 

Surface Treatment of Industrial Aluminum Profiles

Most of the surface processing methods of industrial aluminum profiles are mainly surface anodizing, which greatly improves the overall performance of materials — so the price will be much higher.
