Load Bearing
For pet shops, a cattery frame that takes into account safety, ventilation, beauty and practicality is essential. From the perspective of load-bearing capacity, the weight of most pet cats on the market is concentrated between 5 and 10kg. The combined structure of 2020 and 2040 aluminum profiles can easily carry the weight. Even if a three- or even four-story multi-story cattery is built, the overall frame can remain stable and not deformed, and it is not prone to loosening and shaking problems after long-term use.
Mobility
In terms of mobility convenience, high-load-bearing universal wheels are pre-installed at the bottom of the frame. Daily adjustments to the store layout, cleaning the floor, or temporary relocation of the cattery can be easily pushed by a single person without laborious disassembly and transportation.
Structural Design
In terms of structural design, all core load-bearing columns are made of 2040 aluminum profiles to ensure the overall support strength. Each floor can be flexibly divided into independent small grids according to the number of cats in the store. The floor boards are made of perforated wooden boards, which not only ensures supporting capacity, but also assists air circulation and avoids the accumulation of odors. The side panels support customization in two scenarios: If the cattery is placed against the wall, the pre-cut perforated board can be pre-installed directly on the side of the wall. The edge of the board can be directly inserted into the notch of the aluminum profile without additional drilling and fixation. The perforated board can also be used to hang small items such as cat bowls and cat teasing sticks. objects to expand the storage space; if the cattery is placed in the middle of the store as a display area, it will be surrounded by transparent acrylic panels. The overall appearance is transparent and beautiful. Customers can clearly observe the status of the cats from a distance, and it is also convenient for the store staff to inspect the status of each cat at any time.
Doors and Ventilation
Each independent grid is equipped with its own opening and closing door. The door frame is made of 1560 aluminum profiles and is connected to the main frame through aluminum alloy hinges. The door frame is inlaid with an acrylic plate. Ventilation holes are reserved in advance on the plate body, which not only ensures air circulation, but also allows the store clerk to clearly hear the cat’s meow and respond to needs in a timely manner. The acrylic plate on the side is not completely sealed. Instead, it is first made into an independent small frame using 2020 aluminum profiles, and then connected to the main column as a whole. After the assembly is completed, a 2~3cm gap is reserved between the plate and the frame to further enhance the ventilation effect and avoid the breeding of bacteria in the confined space.
Assembly and Safety
The entire cattery frame is assembled using built-in corner slot connectors. There are no protruding screw corners visible on the outside, which not only avoids scratching cats and customers, but also makes the overall appearance neater and smoother. A flat sealing groove strip is added to the notch of the profile, and an end cap is added to the notch to avoid dust intrusion and facilitate daily care.
Application & Insights
This kind of fully isolated aluminum cattery is especially suitable for placing guest cats who come to the store for foster care – these cats are strangers to each other. The independent compartments can effectively avoid fights and injuries and ensure the safety of each cat to the greatest extent. If it is used to house cats that are for sale in the store and are already familiar with each other, the structure can be further optimized, the play area and the rest area are connected, and wooden laminates are used to build climbing and jumping platforms of different shapes to create a more interesting activity space.
